New York City native Damon Wayans is a stand-up comedian, actor and producer from the first generation of the iconic Wayans Family. After getting his start in stand-up during the early 1980s, he had a brief stint as a featured player on Saturday Night Live, before getting kicked off the show for repeatedly going off script. While most comedians' careers are made by the popular series, Wayans went on to co-create and star in his own television show, In Living Color, which was critically acclaimed for its entire three-year run from 1990 to 1992, and continues to enjoy a lucrative career in entertainment.
