Trevor Noah is a stand-up comedian from South Africa who got his start in entertainment as a radio DJ host and actor before focusing on comedy. Born from Swiss father and South African mother, he infuses his brand of comedy with observations about race and ethnicity, particularly his own mixed-race heritage and experiences during apartheid while growing up in an urban Soweto township in Gauteng, South Africa. After releasing his stand-up special The Daywalker, on DVD, he earned his own television program titled Tonight with Trevor Noah, on MNet, and is the featured subject in David Paul Meyer's 2012 documentary, You Laugh But It's True.
