The Celebration of Lights in Oshkosh is a highly anticipated event that marks the beginning of the holiday season. Held over six weeks from late November until New Year's Eve, the festival features a stunning display of over 800,000 sparkling lights. Each night, families and friends can stroll through the Menominee Park to enjoy the breathtaking light shows and holiday decorations. Visitors can also take pictures with Santa Claus, enjoy hot cocoa, and ride the train through the park. There are also scheduled events throughout the festival, including musical performances, fireworks shows, and a 5k run. The Celebration of Lights attracts thousands of visitors from surrounding areas and is considered one of the top winter attractions in Wisconsin. Proceeds from the festival go towards preserving the Menominee Park Zoo and other community projects. This is an event that cannot be missed for anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit.
