Sammy Hagar is a singer/songwriter and hard rock musician from Salinas, CA who has played with several different outfits since the 1970s, including Montrose, HSAS and, most notably, Van Halen. As a solo artist, he has also employed a number of backing bands, though none of them were more distinct than The Waboritas. Formed in 1997, The Waboritas accompanied and supplied back-up vocals for Hagar's 1999 LP Red Voodoo, as well as his next three studio albums. Hagar continues to perform alongside the Waboritas, the Circle and Chickenfoot at sell-out concerts across the United States.
