This festival is dedicated to St Biagio and is based on the celebration of Mass using the annual Armenian ceremony in the National Armenian Church on February 3. The rite includes the blessing of throats while holding two candles (lit) in the shape of a cross below the chin, which is purified during the event. A traditional bonfire is lit in remembrance of the night that the Candelora Anticoli di Campagna was at risk of being set on fire on February 2, 1298.
