As a young child, Don Felder was initially attracted to music after he saw Elvis Presley perform on the Ed Sullivan Show. At the age of 10, Felder was learning how to play the guitar and quickly became a skilled instrumentalist. He started his first band, The Continentals, at the age of 15, a band that saw Felder playing alongside Stephen Stills, of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young fame. In 1974, he helped found the legendary soft rock group The Eagles and would serve as the band's primary guitarist until 1980, when he left the group. After departing from the band, Felder would pursue a solo career before eventually returning to The Eagles' lineup from 1994 to 2001.
