Poco is a country/folk rock band from Southern California that rose from the ashes of famed folk rock band Buffalo Springfield in 1968. The band's debut album Pickin' Up the Pieces is a reference to the break-up of the previous band and proved to be an unprecedented critical success for the band. Going forward, Poco continued to release acclaimed country rock albums, and despite the band's relative lack of commercial success, Poco is generally considered to be one more the most influential pioneering acts in the country rock genre.
