Established in 1945, Polish Baltic Philharmonic is one of the most acclaimed concert halls in Gdańsk. Originally named as the Polish Baltic F.Chopin Philharmonic, it was given its current name in 1949. Primarily a venue for opera concerts, it has also started hosting orchestras, musicals and cultural festivals after its reconstruction in 1996, improving the seating capacity, acoustics, lighting, and ventilation of the hall drastically. If you're a fan of European classical music, this is the place to be.
