TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
A part of the renowned St.Anne's Church, the Fugger Chapel was commissioned by Jakob and Ulrich Fugger in the year 1509 as a tribute to their brother Georg Fugger. Built when the church was Roman Catholic, the chapel is known for its ornate interiors and also for being one of the earliest chapels constructed in the Renaissance style. One of the rare phenomena where a Catholic chapel is a part of a Protestant church, the chapel houses final resting places of the members of the wealthy Fugger family.
