Designed by Alexander Marshall McKenzie and opened to the public in 1885, this museum is visited by many every year. The gallery displays various exhibits, both from the establishment's permanent collection and the work of visiting artists. Of particular note are the Victorian and modern art sections. The works of Francis Bacon and Paul Nash, two of the 20th Century's most influential artists, are displayed here along with others.
