Piazza Venezia serves as a bustling intersection of major roads and is a central hub for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. At its center stands the Altare della Patria dedicated to King Vittorio Emanuele. Romans refer to it as the "wedding cake" or the "typewriter" because of its shape and color. Surrounding Piazza Venezia are several other notable attractions, including the Palazzo Venezia, a Renaissance palace. The piazza is also a strategic point for exploring other parts of Rome. From here, visitors can easily reach popular destinations such as the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, and the Capitoline Hill.
