Two municipalities make up Diemtigtal Nature Park: Diemtigen and Zweisimmen. Both exemplify the gorgeous Alpine landscape and the cultural traditions of its dwellers, chief among them a robust collective farming practice. There are roughly 140 farms within the 135-square kilometer (52-square mile) nature park, and together they keep approximately 10,000 livestock. Diemtigtal Nature Park is also known for its architectural features, namely its residents' quaint wooden homes. Outdoor enthusiasts can follow the Grimmimutz and other trails through the stunning Diemtigtal valley, perhaps opting to visit the largest Swiss Alpine cheese dairy after exploring the exciting Wiriehorn bike park.
