Omaha Beach located in Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer is known for its history. This beach cum war zone is a memorial to hundreds of American soldiers who have lost their life fighting for freedom. The area behind the beach has been converted into a museum, Musée Mémorial d'Omaha Beach which has on display the details of the invasion and all the remains of the war. The beach is a good place to soak up the sun as well as explore the local history.
