A specialty open-air museum displaying the past life and times of Swedish immigrants, the Gammelgarden Museum is in Scandia. Literally ‘old farm’ in Swedish, come and catch a glimpse of the life of immigrants here at this beautiful facility. The vast gardens are welcoming and will take you on a tour of the migrants’ history, heritage, and culture. The five buildings on the gardens will give you a chance to explore their daily life and routine in the 1850s. This hidden gem is open from May till October on the weekends.
