Perched at the edge of the Darling Harbour, the historic Lindesay building makes for a striking Gothic-style example of architecture, perhaps the very first of its kind to grace the city's corners. Ensconced in timeless elegance dating back to 1834, this beautiful building features a medley of Georgian and colonial interiors, and is nicely framed by a manicured parterre garden. Visitors who stop by are rewarded with soothing vistas of the Sydney Harbour that lies past its emerald gardens. Besides being a vital part of Sydney's architectural repertoire, the heritage building is also a popular venue for dreamy weddings and social soirees. Lindesay is open to visitors on the first Thursday of each month. Guided tours are available as well.
