Harriet Beecher Stowe House

Take a trip down American History by visiting the Harriet Beecher Stowe House which was home to the author Harriet Beecher Stowe. Constructed in the year 1833, the house was resided by Harriet along with her siblings and their father. The author's works usually dealt with anti slavery content which is usually depicted in the exhibits in the house museum. Today the historic house has been converted into a museum that showcases the work of the author, lifestyle of the Stowe family and African-American history under the ownership of the Ohio Historical Society. The house has been listed on the U.S National Register of Historic Places in the year 1970.
