The tall ship in question is the lovely Glenlee, which will be exciting enough on its own for sailing enthusiasts. She was built at Port Glasgow in 1896 and was used as a long-haul cargo vessel and then as a training ship for the Spanish Navy. A visitors' center, located in the old pump-house on the harbor, features various exhibitions including the Glenlee story, the impact on the Clyde of the industrial age and two interactive exhibits specially designed for children. When you get tired, check out the cafe and a nautically themed gift shop. The Glenlee can be hired for corporate and social functions.
