Lums Pond State Park began operations in 1963 and since then it has been one of the most sought-after destinations for campers and hikers. The park offers biking and horse riding trails, as well. Lums Pond is an ideal location for fishing, and the park allows you to bring your own boat or rent one. For those who are a little more adventurous, kayaking and canoeing facilities are also available. But the main attraction is the Going Ape ziplining course, which is a three-hour experience that lets you explore the park from the treetops. A dedicated disc golf course, in addition to soccer, cricket and softball fields complete this verdant expanse.
