Nestled in the scenic valley of the Dahner Felsenland which roughly translates into 'rock country', Dahn regales visitors with its natural beauty. Its interior village features a range of spectacular castle ruins including those of Tanstein and Altdahn castles. There is also a World War II cemetery located on the edge of town where fallen soldiers of the Alsace and Palatinate are interred. As you move further from the heart of the village, Dahn gives way to stellar landscapes punctuated by sandstone bluffs and cliffs, the most notable of which is the Jungfernsprung, an imposing boulder popular with rock-climbers.
