Gütersloh is a small town but is quite well-populated, thanks to its small scale industries starting from media to appliances. There are plenty of 17th and 18th century half-timbered houses, which are really well preserved. A walk across the quiet lanes and admiration of these structures is mandatory. The Evangelical Apostle Church and Martin Luther Church with its sharp spires are other important structures in town. City Museum Gütersloh will bring you up to date with the town's intriguing history.
