Bielefeld

Bielefeld is a wonderful city which encompasses modern facilities as well as historic relics. Home to many international companies, universities and more, the Sparrenburg Castle, a restored fortress, is perhaps the most famous site of all. The Old Market Place with its rustic houses is equally popular. Altstädter Nicolaikirche and Neustädter Marienkirche are two Gothic marvels worth exploring, adding to the long list of memorable buildings in the city. Interestingly, the city is also a part of a running conspiracy theory joke which claims that Bielefeld doesn't actually exist and its photographs are a propaganda, something which the city has used expertly to increase its tourist footfalls.
