TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Situated on the side of a hill, the village of Simiane-la-Rotonde cascades down its surface, its grey-hued houses adding a uniformity which is aesthetically pleasing. The place got its name from Château des Simiane-Agoult and its rotunda, which caps the small dwelling much like the crown jewel atop a tiara. A visit in July is highly recommended, when the entire hillside is replete with lavender blossoms, adding stunning contrast to the vista.
