The little village of Chenonceaux basks in fame of the magnificent 16th-century Château de Chenonceau, one of the most famous chateaus not just in the Loire Valley, but also the country. While most visitors only arrive with the aim of visiting the castle, the town itself is a quaint delight if you have some time to kill. Take a stroll through the village's narrow alleys to discover charming houses and storefronts lined with beautiful vines. There's a host of cafes and restaurants to cater to visitors. The historic chapel is worth checking out as well.
