Quite close to the Belgian border, Givet is a historic city with plenty of attractions for newcomers, such as the towering Charlemont Fort which watches over the city, massive Saint Hillary church and the Meuse bridge. The rustic, big houses paint a pretty picture along the banks of the river, making it ideal for a contemplative stroll.
