Comprising of three serene ponds, Range Ponds State Park offers waterside recreation for visitors, surrounded by pine and hardwood forests. The Upper Range Pond is the shallowest of the lot, the Middle Range Road is the deepest and largest, supporting trout fishing, and the Lower Range Pond is the smallest, but much longer than the other two. Fishing aside, there is a beach area from where people can take a dip in the cool waters and enjoy Maine's summers. There are plenty of hiking trails which traverse the hardwood forests. There is also a mountain biking loop trail that covers the best parts of the woods. Overall, the park promises natural beauty and excellent recreational opportunities.
