Kellys Run Nature Preserve is a beautiful sanctuary nestled in the beautiful landscape of Holtwood. Featuring mature forests of maple and oak, blankets of seasonal wildflowers, and rocky outcroppings, the preserve offers well-marked trails and dramatic views of its diverse terrain. Its highlight is the Kellys Run National Recreation Trail, which attracts thousands of hikers every year. The loop trail traverses 3.8 miles (6.11 kilometers) through little shimmering streams and ancient bedrocks. Kellys Run is also home to Pollinator Park, a project that aims to restore an abandoned park into a wildlife habitat.
