Dry Falls is a beautiful waterfall that sites nestled within the lush green environs of the Nantahala National Forest. With a drop of 65 feet (19.8 meters), the waterfall cascades gracefully over a cliff, making for a wonderful sight. Also known as Upper Cullasaja Falls, the waterfall can be viewed from an observation deck that is easily accessible from U.S. Highway 64. A short trail from the parking area leads down to the waterfall. Its cliff-side drop allows visitors to walk behind the waterfall, thus preventing them from getting drenched.
