On the southern end of Wellfleet, Massachusetts sits a landmark site from where the first wireless transatlantic communication was made. Named after the Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi, this revolutionary experiment between the United States and Europe took place in 1903. Added to the list on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, it is interesting to visit the site where a small piece of American history takes place. Visitors can explore the picturesque site offering spectacular ocean vistas from the viewing platform and read up about the place in the historical marker.
