As a visitor's image of how an Ulster castle should look, Dunluce could have been made to order. An architectural miracle, it sits extravagantly right on the cliff edge overlooking the sea along the coast road between Portrush and Bushmills. It's one of Northern Ireland's biggest and most exciting castles, with many original turrets remaining in prime condition. To add to the castle's romantic-cultural appeal, there are many dramatic stories attached to its history. And the media facilities now are second to none. These include an audio-visual cinema, taped tours in most European languages and trained staff on hand to conduct guided tours.
