The north Dublin seaside village of Malahide looks as if it were built with the Grand Hotel in mind. The road sweeps straight into its circular drive, with its yellow façade looking both imposing as well as warm and inviting. While having the appearance of being old-fashioned, the Grand has updated itself to deal with all manner of visitors, from tourists to weddings to business conventions and all without losing its charm. Some rooms have direct sea views and the village of Malahide is at its doorstep, providing pubs and restaurants and a good nightlife.
