Tucked into a courtyard in the heart of busy Georgetown, the Old Stone House dates back to 1765. It is believed to be the oldest building in Washington and the only one remaining from the pre-Revolutionary period. The house boasts vernacular style architecture which is quite rare and provides a glimpse of 18th-century life in a functional living space.
