One of Norwich's relatively newer theaters, The Playhouse is small and intimate but yet stylishly modern and accommodating. As you enter the foyer you are grabbed by what looks like graffiti on its white washed walls. However, these are the result of an innovative buy-a-brick scheme, which helped fund the building project for the theatre. It is a popular theatre for smaller touring companies to visit. The autumn season kicks off with The Norfolk and Norwich Festival where the line-up is normally excellent; featuring contemporary dance, jazz and of course classic drama.
