In the centre of town, Kilkenny Tourist Hostel is a short walk from pubs, restaurants and the Watergate Theatre. Located in an 18th-century townhouse, the hostel offers private and dormitory accommodation, luggage storage and free Wi-Fi. All accommodation has use of shared bathroom facilities, as well as a lounge with an open fire and a well-equipped kitchen. There are also free-to-use lockers, and a computer for guests’ use. Laundry services are also available. Kilkenny Train Station is just over 1km away, and the hostel is also close to local bus routes. The town has a wide variety of bars and a multi-screen cinema, and Kilkenny Castle and the Black Abbey are among the historical attractions within a 10-minute walk.
