Bad Homburg is among some of the wealthiest districts in all of Germany. While most German cities amassed wealth in the 20th century, this one raced ahead in time thanks to the efforts of brothers Louis and François who built the first casino and mineral bath between 1841 and 1842. Over the decades, Bad Homburg has transformed into one of the most rejuvenating and exhilarating spa towns. Its casino, mineral baths and spas attract locals and tourists alike.
