Designed by architect Irving Gill in 1915, this brilliant white structure, surrounded by emerald green lawns, has served as a recreation center for decades. The center has made such an impact on the La Jolla community that it is now considered an historic landmark. The recreation center hosts scores of youth programs, including sports, dance classes, day camps, even Tae Chun Do for kids. Meanwhile, adults may enjoy yoga, belly dancing or brush painting classes.
