In 1866 the winning horse received 12 sovereigns, but these days the prize money is nearer half a million pounds. This is now one of the finest small racecourses in the country with 21 days of competitive jump racing, including summer jumping in August and September. You can visit occasionally, or take out an annual membership, which will not only give you free entrance to Newton Abbot's season, but also 27 days racing at other courses. This also the ideal place for corporate hospitality and offers many facilities such as private boxes, suites and marquees which will accommodate up to 300 people. It's the perfect place for trade shows and exhibitions and even circuses and fairs. Newton Abbot also has excellent catering facilities with several fine restaurants, bars and snack bars.
