East Bay Inn

This large bed and breakfast is located right on Bay Street, and is very convenient to both the upscale shopping of its namesake neighborhood and the fast-paced nightlife of River Street. The building dates to 1853, and in its present incarnation retains much of the exposed brick and timber charm from its days as a cotton warehouse. Guest quarters feature four-poster rice beds, high ceilings with overhead fans and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Schyler's restaurant, a trendy, high-energy fusion joint is located in the basement.
