This Stadium of Peace and Friendship is the pride of Athens city. Constructed in 1984, it has received several accolades for its sports facilities and is considered to be one of the best indoor sports complex in Europe. The state-of-the-art arena hosts numerous international tournaments for Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Handball, Wrestling, Fencing, and Rhythmic Gymnastics. The complex is owned and managed by the Ministry of Culture and Deputy Ministry for Sports.
