This stately red-and-white-striped lighthouse stands tall as Hilton Head's defining landmark. Built in 1970, this 90 feet (27.43 meters) beacon shines brightly for home-bound seafarers and grants a panoramic view of the surrounding area for intrepid sightseers who brave the spiraling steps. The interior of the lighthouse greets visitors with both a museum and a charming shop rife with apparel, souvenirs, accessories, and collectibles. Its iconic, postcard-perfect structure also makes the Harbour Town Lighthouse a spectacular photo-ops spot.
