Naples Municipal Beach & Fishing Pier

When this historical landmark was originally constructed in 1888, it was meant to be a freight, passenger and baggage dock. And over the last 100 years, it has changed quite a bit. Unfortunately, the original post office stationed on the pier, along with a crucial section of the dock, was destroyed by a fire in 1912. The landmark suffered several other natural catastrophes and the dock has been restored on three different occasions. Fortunately, it has been completely refurbished, complete with restroom facilities and a concession stand. Another benefit of this pier is that visitors can bring their own hook, reel and line without the need for a permit since the city of Naples purchases an annual bulk license for everyone.
