Silesian Stadium

The Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, called Stadion Slaski in Polish, is home to the Polish national football team and seats 47,246 spectators for the many major events that are held there. In 1963, the stadium boasted a crowd of 120,000 during a European Cup, but due to international security measures, the number of seats was reduced, though there is talk of expansion. Nonetheless, the stadium is monumental, drawing impressive crowds for football games, motorcycle speedway races, and colossal concerts that feature bands like U2, Pearl Jam, and The Rolling Stones.
