Petaluma Historical Library and Museum is part of a building originally built in the early 20th Century. The museum is famed for the various articles it houses and the free-standing leaded glass dome that is a part of the building and one of the largest in North California. The exhibits here are about the egg and dairy industries, the riverside and the Miwok Indians. The museum also has a historical research library that includes books on genealogy, architectural research of Petaluma, early maps, the Vallejo land grant and books relating to the exhibits of the Museum.
