Pont Neuf

The Pont Neuf, meaning "New Bridge" in English, is the oldest standing bridge across the Seine River in Paris, France. Constructed between 1578 and 1607, it boasts a distinguished history and architectural design. The bridge features two separate sections, connecting the Left Bank and the Île de la Cité with the Right Bank. Notably, it was the first bridge in Paris built without houses lining its sides. This innovative design provided unobstructed passage for pedestrians, a feature that continues to be appreciated today.
