As you might have gathered from its name, this Northside corner bar has all the charms of a dive: unpretentious staff, a beat-up pool table, along with a mix of obscure bluegrass and pop music constantly playing on the speakers. In the summer, the picnic tables in the outdoor beer garden fill with patrons drinking and chatting with friends and total strangers. In this spacious garden, you can enjoy a game of horseshoes with ample space—the garden is significantly larger than the bar itself. There are daily specials on domestic bottles and drafts, as well as live music throughout the week. While some may complain about the lack of food, the specials and the welcoming atmosphere more than make up for it.
