The Spaarnwoude Recreation Grounds are a 20 minute drive from Amsterdam. Open-air music festivals like the Dance Valley festival with a Woodstock like ambiance are held regularly throughout the year, where thousands of music lovers from across Europe, flock here to watch international and national artistes perform live. Many choose to camp out in the rustic open spaces during some festivals. In the past, Spaarnwoude has witnessed some awesome stage acts with superb back-drops, sound and light laser shows and of course the DJs themselves! Besides festivals, there are also other outdoor activities and sports facilities available.
