The stage for one of Europe's, and the world's, largest rock festivals, the Roskilde Festivalpladsen at Roskilde is a vast ground that transforms into a rocker's paradise. Since the 1970s rock fans have been treated to an excellent aural fare here at the Roskilde Music Festival, with artists like Bob Marley and Led Zepplin having been a part of it. The festivalpladsen, or festival ground, acts as a camping site for the visitors and is accessible without any charge, as its charges are covered in the festival's tickets. The main arena of the ground is exquisitely designed to give high-standard sound that will satisfy those standing in even the farthest corners. The camping area opens a few days prior to the commencement of the festival.
