Strasbourg

Literally the 'city of roads', there's much to see and do in Strasbourg. It's vicinity to the France-Germany border has given it a mixed character, which is charming nevertheless. The city center, rich with its grand architectural specimens, is a UNESCO-designated a "World Heritage Site" and undoubtedly has the best sightseeing options. Although there are several shopping and dining options in the city, nothing matches up to simply strolling through the streets while admiring the magnificent architecture. The Church of Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune, Cathedral of Our Lady and Synagogue de la Paix are top attractions among a few that draw tourists in large numbers.
