For almost 200 years, a hotel has sat on this corner of South Main Street and McBee Avenue. And over those years, luxury is something this corner knows well. At the turn of the 19th Century, the Mansion House Hotel proudly served the South until demolished in 1924. The following year, the Poinsett Hotel opened and served such notables as Cornelius Vanderbilt and Amelia Earhart. Today, Starwood owns the property and as with all Westin rooms, they come equipped with a 'Heavenly' bed and LCD flat-screen televisions. Pets are welcome for an additional fee and can even stay in their own Heavenly Dog Bed made available at the front desk. The Westin Poinsett has all a guest needs to stay in luxury in the Greenville area.
