Skive

Skive, one of the larger communities on the northern side of Jutland, is for much of the year a sleepy little coastal town on a fjord. During the summer months it transforms into a raucous tourist destination and fairly buzzes with energy. The town boasts many fine hotels and restaurants, many of which are open exclusively in the holiday season, as well as an art museum, the lovely 14th-century Spøttrup castle, and ample opportunities for swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking and anything else one could think of to do on the water.
