Relocated in the Music Hall, the Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery dates back to 1835. Initially named as the Museum of the Shropshire and North Wales History and Antiquarian Society in Dogpole, the museum came to be known as Shropshire and North Wales Museum before holding its current title. On September 17, 2015, the museum was officially inaugurated by Duke of Gloucester Prince Richard. If you are interested in geology, Roman archeology and ancient prehistoric remains, a visit to this museum is a must for you.
